O'Flaherty Irish Retreat

The O’Flaherty Irish Retreat is an extended weekend full of learning and sharing in the tradition of Irish Music and Dance. The parent organization, the Traditional Irish Music Education Society (T.I.M.E.S) sponsors training for adults and youth, live concerts and sessions and serves to bring together many talents, performers, instructors, and aspiring students wishing to learn from a wealth of knowledge and experience in a hands-on environment.

Director Ken Fleming wanted to give their current site a fresh look and bring it up to current design trends plus find ways to organize the vast amount of content in ways to make it easier for the user to find what they were looking for and to discover more the retreat has to offer its attendees.

The new site is built in WordPress to help organize the many facets of information pertaining to learning and the people who make it all happen. Using the Genesis theme platform and incorporating custom post types and taxonomies, site editors can write content and choose to display it in all appropriate locations. When a new season approaches, the information about classes, instructors, all events at the retreat can be moved to appropriate locations throughout the site and relevant information can be updated to match the coming season.
